The Foundation of Disabled People's Art has been established in 1991 and began an
official life in Krakow to support all sorts of creativity among disabled, both amateur and
professional.
Wojciech Tatarczuch, a journalist very involved in such an activity was the main
author of the Foundation programme.
In 2006 the
Pro Publico Bono Contest Foudation*) awarded the Foundation the first prize in
the category of Culture and National Heritage for the idea and successful organization
of nine editions of the International Biennial of Disabled People's Fine Art. The
Biennial appears as a specific event. High level of presented works and almost
global reach, found the universal recognition. At the end of 2010 already eleventh

But besides
this cyclical event an everyday job is also important:

information folders, postcards, catalogues, posters, calendars etc,
- art-therapy
and education – at this scope a Study of
the Art Knowledge was organised together with the Krakow Technical University
for people with disabilities (163
graduates obtained the certificates).
- fine arts
and literary workshops, the open airs - in it an exceptional international "underground open air”
organised together with the Museum of Krakow Salt Works in Wieliczka,

so premieres and many performances in the country and abroad given by the

In the range of the
