Rules and regulations

I. Purpose of the Biennial
This traditional event is aimed at promoting fine arts production among the handicapped, both amateur and professional.
II. Rules for application The
painting, print and drawing competitions are open to all of disabled
who practice the above fields of creativity, both professional artists
and amateurs, in two categories of age:
- children and youth (born after January 1st 1995)
- adults
The competition is divided to two branches:
- painting
- print and draing
The technique of the works is optional.
Each participant can send maximum 3 works for one branch of the competition (i.e. one painting and one drawing).
The competition consists of two stages:
1st stage
- Each candidate has to fill and send the Application Form (attached)
containing personal data, address, phone number, e-mail, short
description the kind of disability, information about participation at
exhibitions and awards in the past. Please, do not send works.
- Attach please photos (dim. 13 x 18 cm) or computer prints of the works
- Attach also written description of each work (the title, dimensions, technique, the year of production).
In the case of sending 2 or 3 works do not forget to attach the application form and description to each photograph.
Application Forms and photos have to be submitted by April 30th, 2010 - as on the mail stamp.

The Jury Members will be
outstanding artists and art critics, as well as representatives of the
handicapped. The competitors qualified to the 2nd stage will be
informed about it. Then, they ought to send the original works. At the
end of the stage the Jury will award the best works.
Authors send and get back the works on own cost.
III. Prizes and awards:
First stage - the Jury selects works to the 2nd stage.
Second stage - the Jury awards the valuable prizes.
All selected and awarded works will be presented at the
post-competition exhibition. Authors will be informed about the date
and place of the opening.
IV. Final provisions
The Organizers reserve the right to retain the prize- and award-winning
works without payment. All the participants are requested to donate
their works to the Collection of Disabled People's Fine Arts, which has
been established by the Foundation.
By the participation in the Biennial competition disabled artists agree
to the free promotion of their works at home and abroad. The Organizers
also reserve the right to publish the said works in the Biennial
Catalogue, the press as well as in the post-competition publications.
